The instructions below are written for the StegoStik secure USB flash drive, but
the StegoDrive works in exactly the same way. Each product comes with a
credit card sized user instructions card, plus basic on-screen help.
1. Insert StegoStik
2. Run StegoStik.exe
3. Enter passphrase
4. Drag and drop files
5. File operations
6. Remove StegoStik
• A file group is the set of files on your StegoStik
protected by a single passphrase.
• The first time you use your StegoStik, tick
'Reset passphrase for this StegoStik'.
• To retrieve stored files, enter passphrase
without ticking box.
• Your passphrase protects your file group,
so make it hard to guess.
Troubleshooting
• Forgotten passphrase
• Cannot enter new passphrase
Geek info
• The encryption level indicator on the passphrase
dialogue is a rough estimate of cracking difficulty
provided the passphrase is not easily guessable
(eg. a real word). Amber indicates a strength over
about 48 bits, green over about 72 bits and the full
bar about 128 bits.
