| SIX EASY STEPS 1. Insert StegoStik 2. Run StegoStik.exe 3. Enter passphrase 4. Drag and drop files 5. File operations 6. Remove StegoStik |
FILE OPERATIONS • File operations such as copy, delete or open apply to all highlighted files. • Right click the mouse to get a menu of options, then select with a left click. • You can open files directly from the StegoStik. You can use 'Save as...' to store a new copy of this file, but not directly onto the StegoStik. • To lock the StegoStik without exiting the application, select 'Close file group' under the 'File' menu. Troubleshooting • Storing files Geek info • When a file is opened directly from the StegoStik, a read-only copy is placed in a temporary directory (based on the GetTempPath function). By default, the delete operation updates StegoStik's internal file index; it does not 'shred' the data. However, users can to change this with the menu option Tools -> Shred on Delete. |
