| Easy to use... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
The instructions below are written for the StegoStik secure USB flash drive, but |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
| SIX EASY STEPS 1. Insert StegoStik 2. Run StegoStik.exe 3. Enter passphrase 4. Drag and drop files 5. File operations 6. Remove StegoStik |
REMOVE STEGOSTIK • Close (or save to a different location) any files opened directly from the StegoStik. • Exit the StegoStik application. • Use Windows 'Unplug or eject hardware' or 'Safely remove hardware' before removing the StegoStik from the USB port. • You can now transport your data securely! Troubleshooting • Unable to stop/eject StegoStik Geek info On exit, temporary files on the C: drive are deleted (but not shredded). Any that are locked by another application will remain, but would be cleared on a subsequent use of the StegoStik. The StegoStik software does not allow Windows to cache data moving to and from the StegoStik, so it is less likely to cause data errors if removed incorrectly. The date/time stamp and file size of the file StegoStik_DoNotDelete.dat file remain unchanged. Each StegoStik always appears full of random data, creating plausible deniability (each StegoStik comes with a different random file). |
